Beacon Complex, Kansas City, MOCatherine Bohnert is a Biological Program Specialist for the Institute of Plant Production and Sustainability’s Division of Plant Systems Production. As a Program Specialist, Bohnert facilitates the scientific peer review process of grant applications submitted to NIFA.
Prior to joining NIFA, Bohnert worked at the Missouri Department of Agriculture in the Ag Business Development Division primarily focused on the Missouri Grown Program. Bohnert also worked in Extension at Lincoln University of Missouri helping with high tunnel projects and variety trials of tomatoes, peppers, watermelons, and pumpkins for Missouri commercial growers.
Bohnert has a M.S. in Horticulture from the University of Missouri and a B.S. in Biology from Avila University.
