NIFA Virtual Stakeholder Listening Session

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) will conduct a virtual listening session from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm ET (11:00 am - 12:30 pm CT) on Thursday, June 17. The purpose of the virtual listening session is to seek stakeholder input on future priorities for NIFA research, education, and extension programs.

US-Ireland R&D Partnership - Agriculture Priority Area Webinar

The US-Ireland R&D Partnership (Partnership) aims to increase the level of collaborative research and development between the partners, maximizing scientific and financial resources while focusing on mutual strategic research priorities. In 2015, USDA, Republic of Ireland Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine (DAFM) and the Northern Ireland Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) launched a five-year pilot program adding agriculture as a Partnership priority area. During the pilot the partners capitalized investments in research intended to help solve global agriculture-related issues, approximately $7.1 million USD was awarded by the three funders to six projects across eleven institutions. Following the successful conclusion of the pilot, USDA, DAFM and DAERA are pleased to include agriculture as a priority area under the Partnership.

Reporting Web Conference Series (RWC)

The Reporting Web Conference Series (RWC) is a bi-monthly series run by the NIFA Planning Accountability and Reporting Staff (PARS), which seeks to foster consistent, quality communication between NIFA leadership and its partners, including the Land-Grant University system.
